Private Meditation Instruction

Mindfulness meditation is currently experiencing a surge of popularity, and there seem to be as many methods and ways of practicing as there are curious seekers. If you want to learn how to meditate, can use some support to establish a consistent meditation practice, or have a regular practice and seek to deepen and strengthen your meditation, I can help. Together, we might:

  • find a dynamic, upright posture that doesn’t leave you in pain;

  • explore various focusing methods to keep you in present moment awareness;

  • learn how to apply the insight you gain during meditation to everyday living.

If you are a beginner or would benefit from a refresher, the 6-week Intro to Insight course is for you. We meet weekly for one hour of instruction, based on your individual needs. You will receive audio guidance for home practice between sessions. Online or in person at the Yardley studio.

If you have an ongoing meditation practice, Insight Practice Meetings might be helpful. These are individualized 30-minute sessions that might include reporting about your practice, asking and answering questions, and briefly practicing together. Meetings can happen online or in person at the Yardley studio.

In the long tradition of spiritual teachers accepting food, money, and other support from those who benefit from their teaching. there is no charge for Insight Practice meetings. Rather, you are encouraged to express your appreciation by making a donation of any amount that feels right to you. This is known as “dana,” the Pali word for generosity.
